My child cannot eat eggs and tomatoes; she breaks out in rashes and her skin will itch if she consumes those. I just simply avoid eggs and tomatoes and substitute them with other foods.

Yes. My child is allergic to food colourings, seafood, soya products and eggs. We manage his food allergy by monitoring his food intake, and introduce him non-processed food whenever possible.

My child is allergic to dairy products. He now eats home-cooked food. I bake cakes and cookies now without using butter and milk. I also check the ingredients on food labels before I buy anything for him.

We recently discovered that our 1 and a half year old daughter is allergic to shellfish, when we fed her pasta sauce with scallop and sea urchin, and she broke out in a fierce, itchy rash that's still ongoing. She's always had sensitive skin, and prone to eczema and cradle cap in the first 6 months, but that cleared up as she grew older. She just needs to be a bit more careful with what she eats - I'm just grateful the allergy is not life-threatening!
